This is Your Life

Aug 25, 2011

May kulang.
Ang ganda no?

May These Candles Burn

May these candles burn and their smoke rises up to the heavens with our prayers! May each candle and each prayer be heard.
May the saints and angels lift our words to the ears of the Lord and may he grant our heart's desires.
May the Child Jesus hear my prayers as I lift all my gratitude to him for making it possible for our family to visit Cebu City!
Thank you Señor Sto Niño de Cebu!

Mating Butterflies

This is my first time to see butterflies mating and I just had to take a photo. I only know of their life cycle and have seen each stage up close, until now.
New leanings!

Mangan Tayon!

Mangan Tayon is Ilokano dialect for Kain Tayo or Let's Eat and that's what we did when we availed of Pakyaw's Mangan promo. P500 worth of food for the price of P250 was a big bargain and because the Robinson's Galleria branch is just a few steps away from our building, it was quite a steal! We purchased 3 vouchers for the six of us and just presented it to the store (no reservation required) and we prepared ourselves to be satisfied. This appetizer is shredded camote. We ordered this crunchy Sisig wrapped in banana leaves.
This Sinigang sa Miso was good too.
The lumpiang bangus was okay.
This is Tadyang ng Baka. I cant remember if it was lechong kawali or what.
The Kare-kare was okay but I prefer GIlligan's version.
And this is the best part: the native dessert of Puto Bungbong and Bibingka.
Guess who finished most of the Bibingka. He he, guilty!
The happy and satiated friends after eating at Mangan in Robinson's Galleria. By the way, the voucher from Pakyaw was so easy to use because we just presented it and no reservation was required.
Our server was also very attentive and his service made a lot of impact on us. For P750 for the six of us, the Mangan meal was very much worth it. Besides the good food, good service and great ambiance, eating with friends is always a great experience! Mangan Tayon!

Litratong Pinoy: Nakabitin

Cambagat Cave

Cambagat Cave is located inside the Panglao Island Nature Resort in Bohol. It is near the other more famous cave, the Hinagdanan Cave. But since we were staying at PINR, we get to enjoy this cave more. We went there twice, mostly for picture taking!Unlike Hinagdanan, Cambagat cave is being maintained by the resort and a staff will accompany the guests during their visit inside the cave. There are lights inside the cave that makes it look more pretty inside!
The rock formations are natural but the floor of the cave has been somewhat altered because there were pebbles in the floor.
There were also wooden ramps going to the inside of the cave.
It was 12 feet deep and the water was cold. But nobody was willing to go swimming because of bat droplets, ha ha. But we enjoyed picture taking inside!
It is smaller than Hinagdanan but I love it!
The whole time we were inside the cave, we all thought it was perfect for a prenup shoot! And we were doing silly shots that are not meant for public consumption, ha ha!Goodbye Cambagat Cave! And hope to see you again.

Star Custer

We are never too old to learn something new! I joined my kids for their field trip and I finally learned what this plant is called. Its a Star Custer!
It looks like those santan leaves that we used to play with as kids and now i know their proper name.
I hope I can plant some of these in my tiny garden!

Hidden Mickey!

My kids told me to find the hidden mickey in these fruits that I forgot to ask what they were called. Are these eggplants?
This is not a hidden Mickey!
Happy MYM!
